terrible season. you could skip the entire thing and it would not impact your understanding or enjoyment of the show in any way, because absolutely nothing that happens after season 3 matters. it's basically like a giant reset button is pressed

Its weird that you made this topic because I started watching the show a couple of weeks ago. I thought that Miguel Prado was kind of creepy and that sometimes it felt like he was in love with Dexter or something. I thought it was worse than seasons 1 and 2 but better than season 4. The only reason why people like season 4 so much is how it ended. The trinity killer story was boring and that entire situation could've been avoided if Dexter had dealt with him immediately instead of dragging things out. I'm on season 5 right now and I want to stop watching the show because it looks like Dexter is making the same mistake all over again with Lumen

It could have been good. But I feel like compared to the stuff with Doakes in season 2 it was a let down for myself and probably many fans of the series. The Doakes stuff was probably the closest Dexter ever got to being caught until later in the show.

Weakest of the first 4 seasons but that's also pretty much the best show ever. Then 5-8 fucked shit up.

Shameless is a good start toward making up for what happened with Dexter.
