I feel like I'm being unfaithful by buying a knockoff, but there's nothing really unethical about it. Nintendo didn't renew their patent on the NES technology, so anyone can legally make their own. I hadn't played NES in over a year, so it was nice to once again play some of my old games.

So far, it's alright. The only problem I've encountered is that Billy is red as a tomato in Double Dragon. I might get around to replacing the pin connectors on the NES, but this is a good temporary solution if nothing else. There is one thing I don't like about this system though. The pins going into the game are TIGHT.

Like, I'm legit worried that it could cause damage to my cartridges. Some of these games can be rather pricey to try and replace. Anybody know if the threat is real or is it just a minor annoyance that I have to pull hard to get the game out of the system?

The controller kind of stinks. It's got a "slow" button in the middle which I've hit a time or two by mistake when attempting to pause.
