Accepting pictures where we're tagged together is also a struggle for me. It's not really about her, I'm just private on Facebook in general. I changed my profile picture for the first time last month after 4 years of the same picture. I haven't made a status update in years. So when she tags me in pictures I tend to take some time before I accept the tag so it can be in my timeline. I just feel weird about showing off stuff like that. Then I fucked up last week. Because I don't post in Facebook, things like pictures and the "in a relationship" update are at the top of my timeline feed. I felt so weird having it there for everyone to see. So what did I do? I hid the pictures and relationship status post from my timeline. It still says we're in a relationship, I just hid the post about it. Well, she noticed this morning and is upset with me. Mainly because she thinks I'm trying to keep her private and hidden, or I'm embarrassed about her. And I understand why she'd think that. The thing is, I've told her how I'm weird about social media in general and was trying to become better about things like that. If I was active in general but not with her, then she'd have a point. But that's not the deal. But I guess me moving ahead and then erasing it like that just hurt. I don't know why she thinks I'm keeping her hidden though. She's met my friends, meet co-worker, family knows about her (since they follow me on Facebook) Who is it that she thinks I'm hiding her from? Because I don't post in Facebook, things like pictures and the "in a relationship" update are at the top of my timeline feed. I felt so weird having it there for everyone to see. So what did I do? I hid the pictures and relationship status post from my timeline. It still says we're in a relationship, I just hid the post about it. Well, she noticed this morning and is upset with me. Mainly because she thinks I'm trying to keep her private and hidden, or I'm embarrassed about her. And I understand why she'd think that. The thing is, I've told her how I'm weird about social media in general and was trying to become better about things like that. If I was active in general but not with her, then she'd have a point. But that's not the deal. But I guess me moving ahead and then erasing it like that just hurt. I don't know why she thinks I'm keeping her hidden though. She's met my friends, meet co-worker, family knows about her (since they follow me on Facebook) Who is it that she thinks I'm hiding her from? Here's a tip -- as long as she's the one doing the posting and tagging, you can remain willfully ignorant about any pictures that are posted. As long as nothing says "Emblem Boy tagged himself in a photo," you can wash your hands of any unflattering photos that are up.
