I used to work at a goth club and hang out there sometimes when I wasn't on shift. We had all the freaks and geeks. Yes, me in my normie clothes. Do you know how often I got abuse for being a normie? Never. Just because you're dripping in band t shirts, long hair and unironically making devil horn signs when you're feeling particularly high energy doesn't mean you're suddenly a badass. When you're part of a subculture you (usually) understand that looking different doesn't make you a douche. Usually.
