He's a terrific doctor. |His run was generally let down by Clara Oswald and some pretty bad writing (I din't like Matt Lucas' character either), but Capaldi has some of the best speeches in doctor who history (and a couple of the best episodes), so that's to look forward to.

Twice upon a time was pretty great, especially the last scenes.

Yeah, Moffat managed to ruin Capaldi's run quite a bit, imo. Capaldi is amazing, but his first season was just really bad overall. So I'm glad that we're getting a new lead writer next season.

But yeah, I agree with saying that Capaldi has great speeches. He had one in the most recent finale to the Master, and it was so good. Plus, everything he said and did in Heaven Sent, which is imo one of the best episodes of DW in general.

"Heaven Sent" solidified Capaldi as my favorite. He was more of The Doctor to me especially given the 900 years he spent on Trenzalore, making an old and tired Doctor good to see imo.
