I read somewhere that to get the best experience out of the game, good starting stats are INT 17, WIS 18, and CHA 13. And to try to get out of situations via dialogue rather than combat.

Without giving anything away that will take away from my experience, is there anything else I should be aware of? Like anything I should be on the look out for that will enhance my experience that a first-time player might be unaware of, yet wont make me feel like I cheated by asking people on the internet?

The combat is horrible and boooooring, set difficulty to easy tbh

Also it uses D&D 2nd addition rules (IIRC), so when you increase AC, the number actually goes down instead of up. So a lower number for your AC is better than a higher one. It confused the fuck out of me at first.
