Also let's talk about how combining the two characters was an absolutely FANTASTIC arc for the story. Both were envious of their respective Snake's abilities, and had a deep admiration for him. So that final battle in MGS4 was like two characters who wanted to fight two versions of the same guy, finally getting the final battle with him at the same time. Fucking epic, yo.

2 - Actual power struggle inside Ocelot's body with Liquid trying to take over connected to Ocelot's father being the Sorrow.

4 - 100% Ocelot consensually using hypnotherapy to take on the persona of Liquid right up until the very end of the game.

Yeah, I always liked the last page because I didn't really read Liquid with his proper voice just because he's so dumb and silly.

But that last line of dialogue is the one time I read it in Cam Clarke's voice.

It's pretty easy to disregard it, since being the last game chronologically, it's not a prerequisite for any of the other games. IDK I think MGR comes after it but I'm sure it's a good game on its own. I've never played it.

But at the end of MGS4 it is explained that Liquid had never actually possessed him. Ocelot had made himself believe so. I hated this plot twist and this ruined the whole Liquid Ocelot character, which was really awesome in MGS2.
