If you have a way to watch it, I think the ideal recommendation is Carnival Phantasm tbqh. Not sure there's actually a legal way to stream it though.

As for other stuff--I think I've recommended this before but I'm pretty sure you'd like Spice and Wolf. Or if you're just looking for a relatively lighthearted comedy type show, then either Tsurezure Children or My Bride is a Mermaid might be good.

Klavier isn't really all that antagonistic to begin with compared to other prosecutors in the series (mostly all he does is make fun of Apollo's forehead), but he was designed to be more "friendly" and laidback.

Anyway, I watched a couple more episodes of Fate.......stay night. The plot is still mostly the same, although we do get a fun new scene of crazy teacher lady challenging Saber to a duel for the right to be Shiro's protector. However, Shiro refuses to let Saber protect him when he actually needs it. He doesn't want to make her help him, even though that's exactly what she's there to do. Regardless, it's nice seeing Rider again, this time voiced by Karen Strassman. Maybe she'll stick around a little bit longer this time, although I doubt it unless the plot diverges from UBW very soon!

This is a big factor in my hatred of Shirou (in addition to his general lameness). You don't have to protect King fucking Arthur!

How do you resolve a conflict between powerful spirits of famous heroes for a prize capable of granting any wish? Wage a war that will cost your blood, sweat, and tears? Too much workhow about a game-show competition instead?
Carnival Phantasm takes a number of characters from Type-Moons original works, and puts them in a variety of light-hearted scenarios which parody their respective series. Watch Lancer suffering due to his low luck stat, or watch the egotistical King of Heroes gladly kneel to a dominatrix King of Knights. Just remember to leave your sanity at the door.

Oh, it's a Fate parody? Yeah, this might be worth looking into, although it doesn't look like there's a dub or a legit site to watch this on.

Lawrence, a traveling merchant, finds a nude girl with the ears and tail of a wolf asleep in his cart. She is Holo, a harvest goddess with an untamed beast lurking inside. sounds like Persona 5 except with a naked wolf girl instead of Morgana

To those of you out there who never could say "I love you" This story is about ordinary highschoolers and how love makes them fired up, shaken, laugh, cry, and hurt. Whether things go well or not, this story of adolescence and romance will show you how they spend their precious youth. Every character is the main character here, and you're sure to find one you can sympathize with.

Ko Ichinomiya's family motto is "Never be indebted to anyone," but after losing his pants and falling into the Arakawa River, he quickly finds himself in debt to his savior, the cutely insane Nino (who happens to live under the bridge). To repay her, he vows to help her with her desire to "experience love." Along the way he'll meet the river's other residents, including a hot-blooded kappa, a Sister in drag, and a literal rock star. Sorry, Kowhen you fell into that river, I guess you really got in over your head!

but Archer's right that he's dumb for thinking he's better off taking all of the pain himself so Saber doesn't have to

regardless his stubbornness to stick to his ideals in the face of all reason is part of the appeal

I really wish the writing was better. The story's good, but the guy uses about 3-4 times as many words as he needs to (especially for battle scenes, which are so boring to read through).

Not mutually exclusive! Plus she's more like an unemotional most of the time except that she has strange concepts of love and gets curious about random things. She also thinks she's an alien, but its clearly a deflection from some of her real problems.

Sadly the anime doesn't finish the whole thing (as usual) but the manga is done and not too much longer, though I haven't read it myself yet.

Is it like a ton of fluffy excess? The Fate/Zero dub has a lot of that. It's anime dubbishly charming, but yeah, I can see "FOOLISH IDIOT" and "COMPLETELY WITHOUT QUESTION A FAILURE" and "NOTHING MORE THAN TRASH -- A MONGREL" getting tiring in text form.

With dialogue it's not too bad. As I mentioned, it's worst during the fighting scenes; I think he feels the need to really describe them in a lot of detail, but it's just not exciting at all when you're looking at a fixed image and reading 20-30 lines of text.

So let's see what this "Log Horizon" is about:

Elder Tales sounds like an Elder Scrolls/Tales of crossover

Oh, if subs aren't necessarily a deal-breaker then I'd also like to recommend Squid Girl (along with Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, not sure if you missed my post or just didn't like the sound of Dragon Maid so you skipped it). Squid Girl has a dub but it doesn't seem easily available. Whenever puns came up during SMFFFC you seemed to enjoy that style of humor so I think SG would appeal to you on that level, in addition to just generally being a great comedy anime.

it's been called the anti-SAO a few times from what i've seen. if the premise is the main draw for you it does better with that. the main thing LH has going for it is the world building. navigating the politics/economics of the world, interaction with NPCs, that sort of thing. the grand "adventure" isn't really the focus.
