Poll of the Day > I failed my accounting license exam a 4th time :(

Well, to be more specific there are 4 parts to the exam:

FAR - Financial Accounting; all the technical accounting stuff you definitely need to know

REG- Tax, all the tax crap you need to know

BEC: Random business stuff; Economics, finance, IT (One of the worst IT exams I have seen in my life), corporate governance aka making sure the business isn't full of liars/thieves

AUD - Auditing; useless crap

Anyway, I took FAR, BEC and AUD, didn't touch the tax portion. Most recent score was a 70 on the audit exam which means I was 5 points away from passing (all exams require a 75 to get a pass). Pretty much gave up at this point due to not wanting to shell out another $325

Also, I really wouldn't trust anyone who failed a professional exam so much lol

What certifications do you have/want to go for? Thinking of taking a break and just living. I'll get back to it but not really in a rush to get licensed

I tried to do some insurance designations but they're sooo boring I've never even completed the first classes of whatever ones I've tried.

I know the feeling. I am not a test taker either. I can study non-stop for weeks on end, pass every practice test with flying colors, but always manage to screw up majorly on the main test.
