Current Events > About to start up Final Fantasy X HD. Any suggestions? (Mega spoilers)

I've beat the game a few times so I don't need any suggestions on that. Just looking to see if anyone has any cool ideas for some sort of challenge or anything like that.

The only thing I don't want to do is a No Sphere Grid game. I'm not THAT familiar with the game.

you select the grid you want when you start the game.

the expert grid isnt very fun imo, but thats just me

try a no summons run (outside of mandatory summon battles) if you want something a bit tougher than usual but not too tough
also, own sphere grid (OSG), meaning nobody can exit their natural sphere grid area

Oh, I never use Summons in any Final Fantasy game outside of Tactics when I'm playing a Summoner SSCC

Instead of their standard starting positions, all characters start near the center of the grid. Giving you the freedom to build them as you like.

Not a suggestion but a question - how do you end up using Kimahri? I've heard two different stances on him: "He's useless," and "He can be useful if you use him correctly - and using him incorrectly is really easy."

Have been meaning to get back into X-HD on Steam. I recall using a guide which gets Kimahri Holy way sooner than the normal user of it would, and sending him along that path gets him some nice magic stats anyway which boosts his overdrives.

I've never used him before. Well, outside of needing a meat shield for something. The only Blue Magic I've ever liked was Enemy Skill

Honestly, I wish they would do a great Blitzball game and just release that. I enjoy Blitz Ball. Hell, just take all the mini games like that (Blitz, the card games), make them better, and make an online game to play them

(Pick 3 for your party and never switch off them)
Solo character
No customization
No blitzball (has a ton of easy late game items from tournaments)
No escape/ no no encounters (meaning you cannot run from any battles and you can't use any gear that makes you avoid encounters)

I fucking love X-2, but I love the Job System

I'll even do the Monster Battle thing at the very start of the game to unlock Mascot at Level 1, rush the game and get all the DS, and then on the second playthrough I'll do a Single Job Challenge, a lot of them.

I always thought own grid is a decent balance level.

Kimahri / Lulu only (with Tidus), no teleport sphere version, is a decent challenge since they easily the worst characters but still useable.

NSG is the opposite of fun btw. Just like no materia or no junction, it's a monstrous grind fest until you find the thing that breaks the game (mix in this case) and cheese it from there.

items? i haven't played the game since it came out so i forget the beginning. i bought x but i was just gonna ply it normal the first time. maybe try out the international grid

as for kimahri he just sucks. i made him real bad by having him move into rikkus grid 2nd. he was pretty useless till end game when everyone was OP but even then i'm not sure if he even had a reason to be used over the others.

Maybe I will do a solo Tidus since that's what I usually do with Final Fantasy games now, solo them. How do they do EXP in this game? Will I get more EXP for doing solo since the EXP is split or is it all the same EXP?

Some Final Fantasy games give an equal amount of EXP to everyone in the party. 25/25/25/25 for everyone, no matter what

But some of them give out a 100 EXP and everyone alive shares it, thus it could still be 25/25/25/25 if all 4 members are alive.
