I've watched three versions of A Christmas Carol. I've seen the Rudolph, Frosty, and Grinch specials. I've seen action movies set at Christmas like Lethal Weapon and Die Hard. I've listened to at least 20 hours of Christmas music. It's a little exhausting after a while.
I'm a little sad that I won't hear Christmas Canon or Do They Know It's Christmas? for the next 11 months. But I certainly won't miss the covers of Sleigh Ride that aren't done by Johnny Mathis or the versions of Last Christmas not done by George Michael. I'm not a cynic. I'm not a scrooge. I love the holiday dearly. But I think I've invested enough time and spirit into it for one season. It's that feeling when you've swam and you've swam and you know it's time to get out of the pool. I'm looking forward to wrapping up this year and working on some projects in the next one. ... Copied to Clipboard!
