I read that with inflation and adjusting for inflation, pirates, on stranger tides and at world's end are both easily the 2 costliest movies to make in history. Tides was around 380m and at world's end was 350 iirc. Imo these 2 movies' special effects weren't that great, a lot of movies did it better. Do you think these 2's special effects were some of the best or look like they should have costed that much?

I mean, there was a lot of flashy CG. Made the movies look too fake though.
