I'll be getting a smaller bonus this year since I moved to a new job and just started. So it will be less than $8K. The remaining money will be set into my retirement fun.

LASIK: my eyes are bad but not terribly so but this is more of a quality of life this. So annoying not being able to see at times.

Chair: it will be a high end chair such as a Herman Miller. My current chair is a bad quality Ikea one.

I could get both but this is more about restraint.

I had Lasik in 2013.

My distance vision was great for a year or two, but now it's not very good anymore because I became astigmatic since the surgery (which I wasn't before)

And my close-up vision used to be super super good, but now I need glasses to read (which I didn't need before)

And I need to put drops very often because my eyes are super dry, especially in the morning

Where did you get the lasik? I have to use reading glasses ATM and it's fine by me. My distance vision is trash

Dunno, two of my friends got Lasik also, but both did it over 10 years ago. They both wear glasses now since their vision has regressed since the surgery
