Isn't the swastika also found in feudal Japan symbols as well?

a version of it is used in modern Japanese maps of towns, to mark where buddhist temples are

also the symbol was on a pokemon card once, and people went insane

Leave it to CE to take what could have been an interesting topic om archeology and shields, and instead turn it into a boring topic on swastikas and nationalism.

The design on the shield looks alot more elaborate than i expected.
And how the hell did it stay intact?
With the colour in great shape, no less

It wasn't intact, it had to be reconstructed

Swastika is an Indian symbol that Europeans stole along with the word "Aryan".

That's not true. It's actually appeared across Europe, India, and Africa. Generally, it's a pretty ambiguous symbol; the only thing that people tend to agree on is that it's some sort of sun symbol. Other than that, it's pretty dependent on context.

However, it probably shares a common ancestry. The symbol has been used from the Celtic world to India, but like many other parts of culture and tradition from Europe and the surrounding areas, it shares a lot of common elements regardless of where it is.

The word Aryan is a little different as it actually refers to Indo-Iranian people, but was adopted in the early 20th century as a term to describe the mythical descendants of the perfect humans from Atlantis that were descended from the gods. The latter has absolutely nothing to do with the former. I can honestly say I'm not even sure what the common ancestry is.

No, Swastika originated in India

You do realize that the Indo-Europeans got all the way to Northern India right?

They did not come from Europe. Indo-European is a language family btw.

Japan's total population is something over 126 million, with more than half the country being Shinto, so no.

It originally came from India, that's the point. "Aryan" is not used to describe Indo-Iranian people. It was a term coined by Indians and is of Sanskrit origin. Aryan was pretty much synonymous with "Indian" until the Middle Ages, when Hindu became more popular. Germans used this word to refer to the Indo-Europeans. Though, they only considered Europeans as pure Aryans and the rest as "impure", including Slavs.

For some reason I thought the population was around 225 mil.

Never the less;

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan#Religion

Upper estimates suggest that 8496 percent of the Japanese population subscribe to Shinto as its indigenous religion (50% to 80% of which considering degrees of syncretism with Buddhism, shinbutsu-shg)

So like 50 - 70 million.

"Very few"

I doubt that all of those are strictly Buddhist, and not simply identify as such on paper because their ancestors were. From what I've heard from a few Japanese people, they are not very religious and a lot of the temples and sacred places are mere tourist attractions.

It's the opposite. Japanese people do not like to say they are religious, but will still pray at a shrine on the way to work.
