Luckily I was spared. But it seems like most boys in the U.S. are circumcised. I think it's completely pointless, and all it really does is deprive guys of natural sensation.

The prevalence in the U.S. also seems to vary from region to region. Some are less likely to circumcise than others, especially if there are large Latin American populations there.

Yeah. I don't consider it some horrible atrocity, but I wouldn't want it done to my boy. Kinda wish I wasn't circumsised, mine was botched ._.

Whoever says they'd rather be circumcised is lying to themselves. At least, us uncut people always have the choice. We can choose to be cut or uncut but you were robbed off that choice. Circumcision without a person's consent should be a criminal offence. Babies don't give consent.

I'm uncut and while I don't really agree with the concept of doing it to someone without their consent, I'm generally indifferent. What's hilarious to me are the gigantic amount of insecure cut people who seem to be so unhappy with themselves over it that they start making up shit like "ALL THE GIRLS I TUK TO HATE UNCUT AND LOVE CUT" and "ANTEETRZ CANT WASH THEIR PENIS" or whatever. And yes, the amount of insecure cut people on here greatly outnumbers the amount of insecure uncut people.

^ this. Unless you're Muslim, Jewish or have a medical condition then you aren't circumcised here in Europe. It's a very strange thing to do and if not being circumcised leads to poor genatle hygiene then you need to start cleaning yourself properly.

I'm circumcised and I really couldn't care less. I don't know if I was circumcised at birth, or when I later recieved surgery for a medical condition. Either way, I'm fine with it. There's some scaring from the surgery, and it's mildly deformed anyway, but it's just how it is.

Yes, and I'm fine with the fact that it was done to me, but if I ever had a kid I would not continue it.

People make a huge deal out of it these days but I think it's enough to say that it's not necessary and is not for the best, so we should stop it. I haven't personally had any problems (neither emotional nor sexual) though.
