The first cyber sleuth was a rather good game. So this should be decent. Better than digimon world I hope.

Digimon Cyber Sleuth is out now on PS4 and Vita, and it's EXCELLENT. They TOTALLY look and feel like Persona games because some of the artists from Atlus actually work on this series too. The new one looks just as good, potentially better, don't think it will follow the same exact story, so you could MAYBE start from the new one, but the first is definitely worth trying, if you like SMT, Persona, or other good JRPG games.

^And I agree with BlackScythe0, Digimon World absolutely sucked, it plays like a weirdly hardcore Monster Rancher game. I used to love Monster Rancher, but this game goes WAY in depth with the "taking care of your monster" aspect, you literally have to take your monsters out to take a s*** . Different developers than the Cyber Sleuth team though, so don't let Digimon World scare you away.

It was boring and they only spoke Japanese which was weird for me. And there was too many Digimon evolutions per Digimon like wtf that's too grindy 4 me.

Dudnt like cyber sleuth much either. Not very compelling story. Gameplay was kind of slow and stale.

I really enjoyed Cyber Sleuth too.
World isn't bad, but it is a different kind of game. (And the PS4 World game is a direct sequel to Digimon World 1 on PS1.)

Better then pokemon?

Put the time into getting 2 PlatinumSukemon's or PlatinumNumemon's, and deal with the RNG of getting 3 Tactician USB's equipped to each one, you can earn 40,000-80,000 EXP a battle if you're on Hard, It can get a level 1 Digimon to level 40 in an instant, Honestly the only pain is the ABI/CAM stats, and needing to make sure certain stats are high enough for Certain 'mon.

Like needing 250 INT as well as a few other stats a bit high to get Lilithmon, but once you have her oh boy does she clean house on neutral and advantage targets, 1,000+ damage easy.

I loved that game, just finished it myself, God I love Alpha and Omega/Omni's designs, Gotta look up stuff on the sequel sometime, hope it's just as good.

Depends on if anything slower than CoD is boring to you.

It was slower than it needed to be, but it wasn't bad.

I think my opinion on it's "slowness" was more movement speed, it annoyed me how big areas could be, like the Digital Spaces, but despite their size you didn't move all that fast, made going through some areas a real chore.

Also I gotta ask, what's the point of you being able to increase your Memory/Party Cost to 295 or something, if you only have 11 slots?!, lol.

It reminded me a bit of Pokemon, well, more than a bit, but improved, it should say something when I enjoyed playing this but got bored of UMoon so much I sold it before finishing it....

because Digimon took up the cost.

you could have a rookie take up 10 mem, and a mega take 60. if you don't have enough, you can't have what you want
