Why do posters ask nuanced questions and only have 2 options in their polls?

I mean, there's 10 slots, but most of the polls on this forum barely have 3 options.

If you attempt to predict every answer people could have you've created a pretty meaningless poll that doesn't even account for every answer anyway. Best to only make polls where there are only a few broad answers possible.

Yeah, but the issue referenced in this topic is that people tend to have too few options so that's a valid point, but not how reality typically comes to bear.
