Part 5 is Japan's favorite and 2018 is the 25th or 30th anniversary. It's basically all but confirmed part 5 will start airing next year.

I think Josuke and Jotaro were handled fine in the end, imo. Josuke, the MC, was the main player in the final fight against Kira; everyone else didn't do anything until the very end. Sure, he didn't deliver the final blow to Kira, but I don't think the MC has to be the one to do that. And it's not like Jotaro delivered the final blow, either; Kira was killed by the ambulance. If you really wanna get fussy about it, the character who beat Kira once and for all in the end was the dog lol

Really tho I feel like the journey for Diamond is Unbreakable was better than the destination (unlike Stardust Crusaders where I prefer the destination and think the journey took to long)

The highest point of tention in DiU is the fight against pre-face-swap Kira

Bites-The-Dust is close but they never return to the crazy shit Kira did at first where he actually makes shit into bombs and stuff. The last fight against post-swap Kira rivals Dragon Ball Z in that they take like two full episodes for him to blow chest bubbles at people.

Bites-The-Dust doesn't really stand up to The World since its nature prevents the characters from understanding the intensity of the situation. None of the main cast even know that Bites-The-Dust exists until the last moment

Scotty, I respectfully disagree. Part 1 and 2 are great, but things escalate and get more intense, and more importantly, bizarre, as the series goes on.

Part 7 the best.

Parts 7 and 8 take place in different dimensions, right? So I guess I can kinda excuse those since they're sorta like different series

Go to Crunchyroll, you'll see it split into a bunch of different sections. You want to go back to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. It covers Part 1 and 2.

Then you'll want JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders. This covers half of Part 3. Then Stardust Crusaders Battle in Egypt. This is the second half of Part 3. Then finally Diamond is Unbreakable, this covers Part 4.

DiU is probably my least liked of the series. It's bloated. They could have easily cut the season down to 26 episodes. Too many irrelevant and inconsequential characters, too many episodes that feel like filler. Weakest villains overall too imo

To be fair the same happened to Jotaro in Stardust Crusaders, Joseph did more on-screen while Jotaro was relegated to punching things and saying "good grief" after every major scene until the last arc.

Ooh, something I want to talk about that I almost forgot

I was 99% sure that something was gonna happen where Josuke sees/meets/thanks the guy who saved his life during the blizzard in Morioh, or even that through some Stand time loop that it WAS Josuke, but they didn't go back to it

In fact that's a big issue I have with DiU. It likes to be a Slice of Life anime and starts character development for a lot of people but then it seems to sort of peter out as everyone gets distracted by Kira instead.

Joseph Joestar is a real good example of this, they have him come over as though he's actually capable of getting anything done, muck around with him for a couple episodes, then more or less drop him just as he and Josuke are bonding

Sorry, I don't mean that literally. I just mean if you put Dio, Kars, DIO, and Kira next to each other, Kira is my least liked of the group. The three (okay, two) before him all had huge ambitions, Kira.....just wanted to live a quiet life of serial killing. I get the season is going for a less over the top-ness and is supposed to be more of a slice of life anime, but I didn't appreciate the switch.

And it's not just the main bad guy, the sub-villains were mediocre too. Season 1 had the Knights, Season 2 had...I can't remember how to spell their names. Kars' associates. Season 3 had Enya, Hol Horse, Vanilla Ice, Darby Brothers, and other niche villains.

Season 4 was so forgettable I can't really remember anyone. Bad Company was cool but short lived. Red Hot Chili Pepper I could never take seriously. The only real non-main villain I liked was the paper machete guy. I'd have liked the manga artist too, but this series went hard on the "convert enemies to friends" trope so I don't count him as an actual villain, even though he was a super dick at debut. He's still great character overall though
