I already paid for it, but Xenoblade 2 is taking up all of my time. I'm not even sure what all is included in the package. When I go to the BotW board to find out, I just see a bunch of people bitching.

It is worth playing, just not right away

At least, I haven't started playing it yet, but I know I'll get to it once I finish the other games I'm on right now

I've been around and collected all of the new costume items and horse stuff, but haven't done the meat of the DLC yet.

From my understanding, there's four new shrines where it's OHKO, but you also have a chargeable weapon that can OHKO in return. Doing these shrines unlocks four missions related to each of the champions. Doing those four missions unlocks a final dungeon with a boss, beating that unlocks a motorbike. And you get cutscenes throughout that flesh out the Champions and stuff.

I think there's also the option to redo the four main dungeons, but remixed.

I guess people are just annoyed that it's just content that's been added into the main campaign and isn't a separate piece of story DLC or something.

Also, if you like Xenoblade 2, there's a XB2 costume in BotW now as well.

It's great. The beginning and ending segments are the best parts, but all 16 new shrines are some of the most well-crafted and challenging the game has to offer. The whole thing feels very endgame-y and the new dungeon had me considerably confused. Good stuff. Just finished getting all the costumes yesterday and I've officially done everything there is to do in both DLC packs, sans Master Mode.

This is incorrect, but way to make me wish it wasn't! Would've been a great idea.

Oh, I thought I saw an article that said you could redo the dungeons with limited items then fight the bosses over and over for new dialogue with the Champions?

Not quite.

You do refight the bosses after you beat the three shrines respective to that Champion, but only the boss -- no dungeon. The idea is that you're fighting the boss with the same items and equipment the Champions had when they met their demise to each Blight. It makes for a more challenging boss battle, but I still found them easy with 28 hearts and all. They might also actually be harder in general and have some new attacks but I'm honestly not sure.

Also now my biggest gripe with this DLC is that it let you add one more additional heart, but that still leaves the total at 28 if you max out your stamina bar, not 30. What a tease. My OCD will not stop obsessing over those two missing hearts on my life bar.

DLC2 is excellent IMO. The shrines are easily the most well-designed shrines in the game, and the other stuff you do is mostly fun, occasionally meh. It keeps getting better the farther you get into it, the final things you do and the final reward are all awesome, I thought.

It's cool how it is structured similarly to the main game: (this spoils how long the DLC is, so I'll hide it if anyone doesn't want to know that): You do some things on the plateau, then you do some things in the corners of hyrule, then you do a final big thing.

Oh also, I played it on my master mode file. It was the perfect difficulty I thought!! Very hard stuff, but doable. DLC1 was waaaay too hard on master mode.

All I'm saying is you could get anywhere in the game with two wheels. There were very few instances where you had to use some food to get an extra wheel which was worth the hassle to have a full 30 hearts

Why would you ever need max hearts? I used stamina much more than I ever took damage, let alone damage than could kill me faster than I could eat something to recover.

There were zero instances where I needed extra hearts past a certain point in the game.

I also barely did anything with recipes except for speed boosts because Link's run speed doesn't respect your time.

You're right here. I do remember once I got to two wheels and would try climbing mountains I would almost always find a crevice or two to stand on and could eventually make it to the top. But that's just the thing...the speed. In a world this massive, speed is everything. There's a reason that, now having over 100,000 rupees, my most stocked meal types are the ones that enhance your speed. Stamina may be less essential than hearts, but it's also way more useful. And once you get to a certain amount of hearts and a certain skill level (the latter which especially doesn't take long), stamina is definitely the way to go, I'd say.
