yeah, I don't really understand it.

1. It's not canon. You can't just buy the rights to make something canon. If Miyazaki dies and I buy the rights to Spirited Away and make Spirited Away 2 where Chihiro is now a prostitute, that's not canon. Or at least, a lot of fans would understandably not consider that actually Spirited Away 2. Disney Star Wars isn't actually Star Wars. It's basically fan fiction.

2. The Force Awakens was one of the worst movies in years. Why do people care now? Like 7 was absolute trash, it should have gotten this hatred, not 8.

I hope years from now when Lucas is on his deathbed...his last words are.

I'm only laughing about this because there's no way 8 is actually worse than 7. That's not possible.

No, it was a good move imo.
Everyone basically hated George Lucas because of RedLetterMedia.
To the point where he said he's not making any more movies because armchair critics will just tear it apart no matter what.

At least now, these redlettermedia slurping cucks will now gain a little perspective when they have to deal with the endless star wars milked garbage that they will have to put up with for years to come.

Can we erase the remasters too? I want the real Star Wars back.

Didn't he get get like 4 billion dollars for it? Plus he's no longer the one being blamed for Star Wars being bad now and he could finally end his obsession with changing the originals and adding things because he no longer has the rights to do so.

exactly. The narrative changes to where he goes from looking like a talent-less piece of shit, to a genius. and he's also 4 billion dollars richer.
