Do you hate the loot/equipment level scaling? (I fucking hate hate hate it so much, the games biggest flaw for me is that diablo loot style shit. If they make it likr baldurs gate or pillars of eternity with the unique loot and items and not level scaled i, the game would be perfect)

Actually easier than other fights, I had 2 seekers with me, RIP them tho. Fights harder for me was, the fire skellies at the labyrinth, the Witch thing with the roses, and that big Voidthingy at the swamp.

Favorite quest/questline?

I do find the main quest intriguing, not sure otherwise. The animals are always fun. Oh yeah, going to the Braccus Rex underground place and that undead guy there was funny.

Decided on main roster yet?

I'm gonna keep what I have now for the moment. My Fane is the main spellcaster, started as Enchanter, I have some buffs and heal on him too. Dwarf is my main buff, heal, tanky guy without too much damage as a Cleric, I use some Necromancy with it, I love bloated corpse. Elf girl is my ranger, my main range dps with utility, then the Red Prince is my main melee guy as a inquisitor, also bit buffs etc.

I want to change up a bit, so I got more magic shield damage skills on the others too so I can do damage quicker with Fane.

Plenty, but two recent are that I could learn a skill from eating a body part, and finding a skillbook that you needed 2 different skills to learn, thought all skills only had just for one skill each etc.

a note on the skillbook that required two different skills - any of the magic skillbooks can be crafted with any of the non-magic skillbooks (e.g. warfare + pyro) will make a different skill that requires both

Just sidenote. I love that Elves are kinda nasty in this world. They are usually beautiful and graceful in a fantasy world, but here they eat body parts and the females at least have very weird ugly muscles on their torso and super long necks.

I can see what they were going for with the weird elf body designs. It's supposed to make them look like trees, but it didn't really land for me.

The level scaling of equipment is really bad especially endgame because the numbers bloat.

It just doesnt make sense. The equipments you get at level15 is gonna be obselete 2 hours later when you reach lvl 16, etc.

It makes unique items worthless too. In baldurs gate, finding a unique named items is an awesome feeling and it gonna stick to you in the end. Named items are a big deal. If it is well distributed among the game, it can spur that feeling of discovery.

However in dos, that braccus rex armor is gonna be obselete by the time you enter chapter 2.

Also there is an awesome sword you can find mid game, aaan it is outclassed immediately by the junk some random vendor have in the next town.

Pillars of eternity, especially the white march are better at handling this, especially with the soulbound items.

In fact, obsidian seem to always handle itemization in their rpg pretty well since kotor 2 to tyranny.

yeah, levels are god when it comes to equipment. I remember being level 9 and finding a level 12 ring that gave me more defense than my entire setup >__>

small issue for me personally though
just such a fun game

I know about it, but it it came out kinda too late. I was finishing up when it came out iirc so i never use it.

A loot overhaul would be cool tho, but might be so hard to do.

Will mods mess up achievements? Is that scaling mod worth it to get? Or should I save mods for a second playthrough?

but I would save mods for after the first playthrough, but that's just me
