Honestly, I was surprised to hear it when I was playing it last night, considering that it's, well, a first-party Nintendo game and that it's rated T.

The closest that Nintendo had before was Xenoblade X, where the words "bitch" and "goddamn" were present in the script.

It breaks my heart that the english dub in XBC2 seems so mediocre. In some of the scenes I've seen, it doesn't even look like they tried to lipsync.

Also, Rex's VA seems super lame compared to Shulk's Adam Howden.

It is. XBC1's dub was pretty good, but XBC2's dub is god awful. Luckily the Japanese VAing for XBC2 is top notch, and you can just switch it.

Yeah. I actually rather liked the dub for XBC, which is why it's so heartbreaking they phoned it in for 2.

When ever I eventually get a Switch, I'll still certainly pick it up, but I may have to play with the Japanese vocals.

Yes. The Xenoblade 2 dub is a huge step down from the ones in the first Xenoblade and Xenoblade X.

And Rex's English VA doesn't seem to fit the character. Same with Nia's. They both sound too old.

Yeah, Rex sounds 25 when he looks 15.

Nia actually didn't sound that bad to me, if they could get the lipsyncing down.
