i know, title sounds weird. because the situation was. don't know if i like zoned out and was closer to having to stop than i thought. the other weird thing was i noticed there was a whole car length gap between the car i almost rear ended and the car in front of them. so maybe they thought i was being an asshole and brake checked me? or they stopped because there was a cat in the road or something? i dunno.
it would have been my fault obviously if i hit them. but i reacted in time to slam on my brakes and drove into the grass next to the road. then i just merged back into traffic and drove home. feel fucking weird right now. like strangely calm. normally i'd be kinda freaking out still. --- Steppin on the beach doot doot do ... Yeah I got that same feeling once when I was cruising on a downward turn along an interstate at night. Road was wet and I spun, did a complete 360, and kept on driving. I was like... well ok then... guy behind me in the distance was probably like oh shit.
