Half the pubs I go to in the UK are gender neutral bathrooms. There are urinals and stalls next to each other and you'll end up standing next to a woman at the washroom.

It really is a non-issue. They had to go to the bathroom before anyone made a big deal about it and most of the questionable offensive shit that's gone on in bathrooms have not involved transpeople. The creepiest thing about it was the people who were literally advocating or trying to inspect everyone's junk. Fucking perverts.
