Well as an early Christmas present bevause it was on sale.

Pretty good stuff. Intriguing world and beautiful graphics(marred a bit by minor framedrops, some facial stuff getting...odd, and some glitchery) liking the alien designs. Combat is pretty fun and the story has some interesting stuff going on though I have to groan at certain clichs and some other things(fucking knew the dad was gonna die. You could see it coming from a mile away.)

I like some of the characters pretty well. That Krogan dude(Keck?) looks like a badass Goron frog hybrid.

Annoyed by some of the restrictions though. I cant explore fucking any of these planets basically and I wish the scanner scanned more stuff. Like all these cool plants and shit I cant scan for...reasons. And the fact that the game seems to like to force you to stay within mission boundaries is obnoxius . Just let me fucking run amok on these new planets please. At least gate progress in a more natural way.

I do love the jet pack thing you have. High jumps are always fun and you have super fast little rocket strafes. And that the lord for fall damage not being a thing.

I feel the game also kinda suffer from what Xenoblade Chronicles X did. So fucking many gameplay systems, terminologys and such without always doing a good job explaining it all at times.

I am probably benefiting from all the post launch patches here though.
