I've finally picked a character, and I've done couple of things in the boat.

it is such a great game
feel free to ask anything if you're curious or get stuck, etc.

also, many people feel overwhelmed and that's ok. you can restart and run through the first act pretty easily once you know what you're doing, and you can also respec once you leave the island so either way you're good

Apparently MSI Afterburner and Rivatuner Statistics had to be uninatalled.
