It's probably the 2094235th time this thread's been done, but wow, no development of characters at all.. Like no one really learns anything, no direction at all for the Resistance, Luke plays a shitty Luke, floating Leia, sudden FinnxRose nonsense (actually the entire FinnxRose subplot was just terrible).

If Luke was so vital as to the Resistance's "Last Hope" at least make it believable that they still had hope in him and continuously remind the audience that it was so for them, while Rey tried to persuade him otherwise. And at least make Rey cry or something before she goes off.

Also Rylo wtf? Snoke should have made him do a lot more conflicting actions before Rylo just suddenly betrays him. Like there is no development as to why HE has to be in control of everything. They should have just kept a theme of betrayal with him.

The slow "6 hours" chase plot device was -_-

Imo they should have made it so that Rey finds out that she was born out of the Force, without any parents, instead of her being a non-special. Also the Star Wars universe in this episode is so lonely. Are there really no one else out there that would help the Resistance? At least in Attack of the Clones we understand that it's a multi-planet war with a sense of epicness across the galaxy.

I think the only saving grace was Luke dying after he does his hallucination trick. Other than that.. everything else fails.

Obi-wans parents weren't special and yet he's still Obi-Wan motherfucking Kenobi, so why does Rey need to have a mystical origin just cause she can use the force? I'm glad she's really just a nobody cause that makes her story much better.
