Games are mostly being shipped and printed within the last month or so when it comes to production. I don't quite understand the logistics behind digital release but it seems like the game is ready when the developers deem the final build is finished.

Why not let people buy earlier than a physical release?

It seems like it could generate more sales for those diehard collectors. They can play early and still have a physical collection.

I guess it'd be kind of unfair?
