I mean half the movie was spent watching the Empi-i mean Third Rei- I mean first order shoot a cruiser to no effect for apparently 18 hours.

Then Finn and Rose go to space Vegas and learn that people are bad, spend an unnecessary amount of time here for not Brad Pitt to betray them which anyone could have seen coming and its really a wonder why they didn't can his ass as soon as they got on the ship since he was clearly willing to play both sides. When did he even get time to make a deal with the Empire?

Another good section of the movie is spent on Ahch-Too. Zzzz, and then we get Not-hoth which is so similar to Hoth that they had to add in a line of dialogue to say that it wasn't Hoth.

Yeah, the slow speed space chase was garbage.

The casino planet I thought was ok, but the sidequest itself felt really detached from the rest of the movie, and it didn't really feel like a galaxy far far away. It felt like Hunger Games or something with the wacky rich people. And Benecio Del Toro and Laura Dern's characters were more plot devices than people. It was really unfortunate.

well its the most riskiest Star Wars to date because most of the movie takes place in space and not on a planet. Normally the space war shit is a sub/tertiary plot and not the entire focus of the movie
