I was playing Super Metroid on a Friday night about three years ago when this Asian girl I knew texted me at 1am that she was visiting my city from LA. She wanted me to meet her and a friend at some club in the Lower East Side. I assumed they had been drinking for a while by then.

Even knowing I'd probably get laid if I went to see her (and we'd never hooked up before), it was basically a coin flip as to whether I wanted to go out instead of finish Metroid. And I'd beaten Super Metroid about a dozen times already also.

I did end up going to see her though
