I could see it being stressful. it starts off fun, you start making some money, you get used to that money, now you are stressing trying to keep making that particular amount or more because you got used to it.

my step father could make money doing his hobby, but he doesn't because as he said, once I start getting paid its a job and it stops being as fun. (I don't think he could make a living doing it, but make a few extra hundred bucks once in awhile would definitely be possible)

Well, it is a big time commitment to make very good money off it. And to even get to that point, the streamer usually needs to be either "good" at commentary (which is subjective but usually means they're entertaining) or very good at the game. Witwix is a good example of combining both and at least back in the day he would stream for 12 hours a day for days in a row.

the people who claim its hard probably stopped enjoying it nearly as much as when they started out. sorta related I remember markiplier I think making some long ass post on facebook apologizing to bunch of people because apparently he ruined or nearly ruined some friendships over how he became over his videos.

honestly i've seen what he makes though. if thats yearly, i'd retire after a few years and be done with it. unfortunately I don't have the right personality or mind set to be good at something like that.
