Most likely something to do with environmental adaptation. As people migrated they would adapt to the climate. Not much use having dark skin in an area that is cold and sees less sunlight, just as there's little advantage to having light skin in an area near the equator.

Probably the same reason why black folks are very tolerant of hot weather. Their ancestors were used to it in Africa, causing an evolutionary inheritance. The same might apply for caucasians from Europe.

they don't. people are just used to the weather they're raised in. white dudes in the south can't handle the cold up north and vice versa

tbh im pretty dark (I'm not like REALLY dark but I'm pretty brown, I'm like Kanye west/Jay-Z complexion ) and I don't like the heat. Hot weather makes me not feel like doing anything, meanwhile I'm pretty tolerant of the cold (as long as its not windy)

I read that whites from Northern Europe have bigger noses to warm cold air when it's inhaled. They also tend to be bigger and bulkier (like Eskimos too) to conserve body heat. Even northern Chinese are bigger than people from Indochina.
