He has no stake in this, he doesn't deserve shit from strangers on social media, and whatever racist beliefs he has are far beyond his comprehension to analyze or understand at his age. If he's racist, it's because he was raised that way, and he didn't choose his parents.

His mother, however, scammed people by using her kid as a prop and has probably raised kids under her wing as racist. She's a real piece of shit. Direct all scorn towards her, not the kid who's never really had a chance to know better.

The problem is that these situations aren't even remotely comparable. One person makes a homophobic twitter comment directed at no one in particular, the other person is (allegedly) actively going around harassing his schoolmates.

I'm reserving full judgment once the facts come out, but kids from his school apparently posted on the parents' page saying that he was the one that started it.

Like, look: I get it. It's easy to dunk on the kid if he was racist. But here's the thing. He's, what, 11-13? Do you know any smart 11-13 year olds? Very few people that age are smart because most of them don't have worldly experience in any meaningful context.

They're generally confined to a number of insulated and small environments, most notably their family/group of friends, who have a massive amount of influence. If you grow up without the inclination for better research and assurance from the people you've been conditioned to trust, you are going to be molded by the people who surround you.

Which is why it's silly to mock this kid. He is not a college educated 20something who has the ability and fortitude to research, yet refuses, and continues to carry racist belief and bully people. Bullying him will push him closer to the people he's trusted for this long, meaning he's even more likely to be molded by his parent's racist beliefs.

He hasn't had time to mature at all. He doesn't have a Machiavellian grasp of politics. He's not a college educated and experienced Republican politician on the floor of the Senate subtly winking to a white supremacist base in Mississippi, he's either just or not quite a teenager who likely has no solid grasp on the complex social studies in America, who's education is likely diluted by the racist shit his relatives surround him with.
