The Japanese developers were adamant about keeping the manzai comedy dynamic the twins have when the game was localised, so some jokes can feel kind of forced. I thought it was mostly okay as long as you didn't take it too seriously, but that one involving bats was just terrible.

despite all the goofiness of the game, it's a legit RPG with a pretty interesting take on the "capture monster" sub genre

Some questionable jokes aside, the game oozes a whole lot of charm and it really feels like a game for fans of Final Fantasy. Don't forget to read the bestiary entries and character profiles too because they can be pretty funny.
