The switch is the first console I've been excited about since the PS2, no joke.

I got an Xbox 360 and a Wii second hand and then pretty much gave up on videogames for 5 years because I didn't like how things were heading. Now for the first time in like 15 years I'm actually hyped about the new gen.

At this point, Nintendo might as well port all of the big-name Wii U titles onto the Switch, to give them a second lease on life.

Games like:
-Super Mario Maker (unless they're making a Super Mario Maker 2)
-Super Mario 3D World (might be underwhelming with Odyssey out, but 3D World has the advantage of multiplayer)
-Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
-Zelda Wind Waker HD + Twilight Princess HD (a combo pack?)
-Hyrule Warriors
-Pikmin 3
-Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE
-Xenoblade Chronicles X
-The Wonderful 101

Smash will likely arrive in Smash 5, so a Smash 4 port may not be necessary.

But how do you define winning? The wii absolutely crushed its generation in terms of profit and market penetration, but you'd be hard pressed to find a lot of people who said the wii "beat" the 360 or PS3.

They need to make a Super Mario Maker 2 that is not Miiverse dependent the way Mario Maker was. I EXPECT they may release a mobile companion app, so you can design your level on an iPad for example, and then play it on your console.
-Super Mario 3D World (might be underwhelming with Odyssey out, but 3D World has the advantage of multiplayer)
Odyssey is also multiplayer, just 2 players. a straight 3D World Port won't work as a lot of the game requires tapping the gamepad. They'd have to rework several of the levels to remove that feature.

Are you insane? With the holiday season incoming, the Switch is going to be close to the WiiU lifetime sales number by the end of the month. It's almost guaranteed to surpass it within three months or so. The only way it wouldn't outsell WiiU is if the world ends, and very soon at that.
