I haven't had a good lager in a long time. everyone around here is either IPA crazy or stouts with coffee/chocolate. not complaining about the latter at any rate, but they're much heavier than I want sometimes

The European and craft brewed pilsner and lager can be amazing though.

There's a local restaurant chain that makes its own lager and it's delicious. You can only buy it in the restaurant on top though.

My mom's family are British and stouts/ales were always the thing around. My uncle usually had Newcastle Brown Ale or Boddingtons and drinking wasn't a big deal in my family, so I drank that stuff starting when I was 13. Not a lot, I never got tipsy, but one can/bottle while we were watching sports or having a BBQ... As I got older, I totally lost my taste of those though, and now I mainly stick to lagers. I'm fairly picky though. I usually only drink imported ones, but I am so not one for alcohol in a general sense. I get drunk on Christmas once a year, and maybe have like 0-4 beers per month otherwise. No hard liquor.

I recently discovered Kingfisher lager and it's excellent. I usually drink all kinds of beer, including lagers and pilsners. IPA is likely among my least favorite tbh.
