a Surface Pro 4 bundle with the keyboard and pen, 16 GB RAM/256GB SSD/Intel Core i7

a MacBook Pro 15" with 16GB RAM/Intel core i7/256GB SSD (I do a lot of music production as well)

a Surface Book(2015) with 8GB RAM/i5/256GB SSD

I currently have a 10.5" iPad Pro and a 2015 MacBook Air with 8GB RAM/128GB SSD/i5(my ex bought this for me, I may have to return it to her)

Except they aren't, especially if you create music like I do, there is nothing that compares to a Mac for this

Given those options with your needs, the MacBook is the easy answer, unless there's a reason you're hiding the year on it.

Macbook no contest. Surface Book 2 would've made it interesting, but it's clear you prefer mac OS.

Yeah it's gaming oriented but it's also great for production work. I ended up selling mine when I needed the money but I used it for school, video editing, and light music work in Pro Tools mostly.
