I think it's gonna be too packed this year. Like I think we've finally reached the tipping point of too many people for the Gaylord to hold.

Ah well.

I decided that I wanted to go over the summer after attending Too Many Games.
Then my friend decided to get married and chose that weekend for the wedding.
I'd rather drink and listen to music somewhere other then Delaware but whatever.

That honestly makes me so sad.

BUT: They could move MAG LABS to the Gaylord and then put MAGfest somewhere bigger.

The convention center for Otakon this year was actually amazing. It's in DC.

Walter Washington convention center is pretty massive.

Only problem is it's not 24/7 and doesn't have built in hotels and such, which I think is really important... at least for how I like to do magfest. I've presented at 2 events there before and it doesn't feel nearly as cohesive and intimate as the gaylord either, the halls are all too far apart.

This is true, but it is actually connected to a hotel through an underground tunnel sort of thing. Only like five minutes walking to get to the convention area.

It was a lot more spread out though which is problematic for MAGfest I think.

We'll see how this year goes and if another one at the Gaylord is more feasible.
