Just got it, it's pretty amazing. FaceID works fast, the whole device works fast, gestures are pretty intuitive, the build is solid, the display is amazing, the camera takes great photos, the notch is barely noticeable. But it is pretty expensive for a phone, but aside from that I don't have a lot of complaints about this phone.

For a thousand bucks it better be an extremely good phone. The question is if it was worth it.

Had the flagship galaxies for a few years, then I switched to apple and haven't looked back since. I do hope the competition would drive prices down though. thronedfire2 posted... Been using iPhones since 2009 and just got a Galaxy S8 Plus a few weeks ago. What a breath of fresh air.
My main objections to the X were the elimination of Touch ID and the notch. Frankly, iOS was getting kind of stale too after all those years. I'm not biased either way though. If Apple releases a 6+ inch device with a fingerprint scanner and a virtual home button (not a fan of gestures), then I'll be interested. --- When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don't adjust the goals, adjust the action steps. - Confucius ... Samsung got criticized for its placement for the S8/S8+/Note8 line, but at least it has it.
