August Ames took her own life Tuesday at a public park near her home, according to Waleed Kilany, deputy medical examiner investigator for Ventura County, contradicting widespread reports that the suicide occurred at her residence. Ames was found at Camarillo Grove park by a bystander who called 911 at 3:46 a.m. on Dec. 5, Kilany confirmed Friday. She was pronounced dead at the scene due to asphyxia from hanging with a rope, the investigator said. There were no signs of foul play. Kilany said officials found a note in Ames journal that was left in her car parked at Camarillo Grove that had suicidal undertones. A toxicology test has been ordered that will take 8 to 12 weeks, the investigator said.

The beloved adult star was a two-time AVN Award-winning performer whose career spanned four years and more than 270 movies. She is nominated for AVN Female Performer of the Year for the 2018 AVN Awards in January. Earlier this week Ames endured a barrage of cyberbullying for a tweet she sent out on Dec. 3 in which she stated she was cancelling her booking the following day because her male scene partner had previously performed in gay scenes. Many of her Twitter followers and some members of the adult industry took issue with her comment as being homophobic, leading to a series of tweets over the next two days that were critical of her original post and her subsequent posts defending it.

This is actually the first topic I have seen to ever mention how/where she died. People only say that she died/killed herself and give no other info. Glad to get some more details. That must have been shocking for that person to just be minded their own business and see that.

It came out she actually did perform scenes with crossover actors, maybe when she found out she felt betrayed or cheated or lied too after the fact on top of all of the bullying.

I want to question who the hell goes for a walk at 3 AM, but then realized that the entire city is likely asleep at that point and maybe some people work the late shift.

I'm thinking she was planning to off herself before this whole twitter feud. But, the Porn Stars dog pilling on her. Basically set her off, and just pushed her to do it. Specially the one guy telling her to kill herself, because he got butt hurt.

He didn't even apologize for it either. Also, the entire tone of them saying the word "Educate" just pissed me off. Just because you disagree with somebody and yell at them louder. Doesn't mean you're "Educating" them. It just makes you look like a lunatic with an ego problem.

P.S. The only people who can actually educate people on the internet. Are people with PHD's or scientists.

This was cyberbullying, but we shouldn't make assumptions about it being the sole reason (or not the sole reason) for her suicide. We don't know what else was going on in her life. Assuming it was directly because of any one thing is just pure speculation about a celebrity based on rumors, really.
