Probably would have been more stable than it is now.

I still don't understand why exactly we went to Iraq in the first place. We just made things a lot worse for ourselves and for the whole region by doing so.

as fucked up as Saddam was, I would prefer him and containing his evil to Iraq, over ISIS forming and attacking the world.

I see people say he would have stabilized Iraq and it's such a farce. This is a man who invaded Kuwait partially because the emir called Iraqi women hookers, incited ethnic uprisings constantly throughout his regime, and intentionally bluffed about WMD's with a dummy in the White House threatening his removal because he wanted to look strong against Iran and he figured he could weather a few American missiles if it came down to it.

That sure sounds like stable behavior.
