Assuming that he wasn't ousted, how might things have turned out differently in the region?

Probably would have been more stable than it is now.
I still don't understand why exactly we went to Iraq in the first place. We just made things a lot worse for ourselves and for the whole region by doing so. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

I see people say he would have stabilized Iraq and it's such a farce. This is a man who invaded Kuwait partially because the emir called Iraqi women hookers, incited ethnic uprisings constantly throughout his regime, and intentionally bluffed about WMD's with a dummy in the White House threatening his removal because he wanted to look strong against Iran and he figured he could weather a few American missiles if it came down to it.
That sure sounds like stable behavior. --- "I knew that I would get a chance to see the world and beat up its people." -Josh Barnett on martial arts Training: http://Machinhate.blogspot.com ... Copied to Clipboard!
