Like come on, he was born there in the 1880s Yeah he'd be part of my friend's family if that canon was real He would have been a Lefebvre not a Howlett But the hometown for Wolverine was only added at the first Fox X-Men movies started (they just say northern Alberta in those) --- Never write off the Doctor! ... Doctor Foxx posted...Ogurisama posted...Like come on, he was born there in the 1880s There's no Howlett family here, the only white family that was big back in the 1880s were the Lefebvre family. I'm saying if they created Wolverine with his family history when he started in the comics instead of adding that later, he would have been named Lefebvre (if they wanted to be accurate) --- Never write off the Doctor! ... Could be, I think they just didn't have a specific location for him when he started. Not sure why they picked this place. It would have been mostly First Nations and small settlements. Definitely gets the northern and remote parts right. I don't know how people lived here through a winter and didn't move elsewhere back before modern amenities. Would have taken some hard badasses (just like Howlett really)
Fun fact: there's also local mythology about a giant man eating fish in the lake. We have a beach named after that fish --- Never write off the Doctor! ... Copied to Clipboard!

Winter is so long here people are crazy in the summer. Outside all the time until very late.
That lake stays frigid. It's extremely deep. The shore beach areas are a little better. There's always lots of people swimming in the lake at the beach in the summer. Mostly young people. Many more just hanging out on the shore. Older people use the marina or boat launches and go boating and fishing or do other water activities. And for several weeks it never gets fully dark here, you can always see sunlight on the horizon. It's cool but gosh the winters are usually brutal. There's always wind. I say this on a day that's abnormally warm. Like 14 degrees Celsius above average. What the fuck --- Never write off the Doctor! ... Copied to Clipboard!

Is that an app? Might get it No it's an alarm clock that I got on Amazon. Some Philips wake-up light. It goes from a gentle glow a while before wake up and eventually gets to very bright light on my face when it's time to get up It works pretty well. It's also a good ambient room light for later at night --- Never write off the Doctor! ... Copied to Clipboard!
