Yeah, realize you could lose it, but may as well toss it in if you can afford it. I was skeptical and even bothering at around $7000 a coin because how could it get any higher, realistically? But here we are lol.

You're better off putting that $100 into either ETH or LTC. $100 is nothing for BTC. BTC would have to double in price for you to have $200.

I disagree, that might be the best get rich quick approach but I'd still work on getting a full Bitcoin

I keep seeing this. I understand that market cap = amount of coins x price per coin but I can't find a deeper explanation as to how this is used to predict the future of the coin.

That's probably true, but it sure doesn't feel like that when we see Bitcoin shooting higher and higher, while Ethereum and Litecoin flounder around the same price.

If I had enough extra income to throw at it I would.

However I bought a house, got married, went on a honeymoon etc... all in the last 11 months so my supplemental income is tight right now unfortunately.

So I've had to take a less than perfect approach. I typically get a bonus in March so we will see what things look like at that time but I will have more capital at that point.

If you find a coin with a good developing team behind and a strong future AND it has a low market cap that means you stand a good chance of seeing faster gains.

For instance IOTA and XRB are pretty similar, XRBs market cap is way lower than IOTA, so if they both end up successful an investment into XRB should yield stronger returns.
