I remember as a kid playing Blue version, the second or third Pokemon I encountered in there was Pikachu, in the patch of grass at the bottom right corner of the forest.

Being 7 I thought that was the only place you could catch him in the forest so whenever I started a new file over the next couple of years I would spend like an hour in that small patch of grass.
