I feel like that's always been an answer for these polls. Also, as of 2017, doesn't that classify as anyone in the age range of 20-36 or something. I feel that's a big group on people on this site for some reason.

More poll options make for a better poll.
They should split the "never" into:
-not yet but I want to
-no I'm not going to play that

It's also the go-to answer for people who tried the series and didn't like it.

It's also the go-to answer for people who tried the series and didn't like it.

Or people who liked the series at the time but didn't like the look of that particular game.

Or those of us who were huge fans of the series at the time, but who couldn't play FFV because it was Japan-only, and then by the time it finally got a US translation it either seemed too primitive and not enticing enough to bother, or by that time we stopped caring about FF in general.

That was a huge problem with trying to play games like FFII, FFIII, and FFV in later ports - by that point you'd already played far better FF games (and better non-FF RPGs), so odds were that you'd never be able to appreciate them as much as you might have if you'd played them at first release.

For games like FFIV and FFVI it's easier to go back and play them again if you're buoyed by what's left of your original nostalgia for the games, but FFV suffers from probably being the least interesting of the three AND lacking that nostalgia. About the only worthwhile thing it does is the job system, and by the time we got the US release, the job system had already been done better in FF Tactics.

Okay, I'm probably just stupid, but what does that have to do with anything?

Personally, I can relate to this option.

I've played FF4, FF7-10, FF13, 13-2, LR and Tactics but skipped some of them. And the reasons are varied.

There are some games that I intentionally left out (FF11 and FF 12. Didn't care for their battle system)

Some games I didn't get the chance to play when the interest was there; time constraint and I didn't buy the game at that time.

Nowadays, time is something I hardly have. So I don't want to invest my time in a game that I may not like. So it's either I research a bit if I really want to try it out or skip it completely.

Blue Dragon pretty much perfected Final Fantasy's old job system.

The options should be 'Yes' or 'No'. Why do you need more than that?

It's cause they wanna feel accepted they didn't have the chance to play it so they want them to still be able to say yes to something so they fit in the question wasn't did you ever play final fantasy V or the series it was just about final fantasy V but it has to share its poll with the other final fantasys that everyone has played if they didn't play V
