played the arcade version on vita (on the capcom reloaded collection for psp).

I think my least favorite part of the game is any time you have to fight two Unicorns (the first boss) at once. Pretty sure it is entirely luck-based whether you will get hit by one of them or not.

eh it's not so bad in stage 2 and in stage 6 you can just take the hit and grab the armor pickup later

and the revision on the collection only has one, though it looks like there's more big men in general to compensate.

big men are probably the worst enemy.

anyway almost finished stage 6 on loop 2 just now but needed to take a break because killing big men is murder on my thumbs.

eh if you've played the sequels you shouldn't have much problems since those are probably harder or at least more erratic or random you just also have more stuff and better hit detection.

you need to get the shield to fight the last boss but you don't need to be on the second loop to get it.

red arremers are actually pretty easy to kill most of the time because they will walk into your shots when you're on the ground. if they take off put a little space between you and they should land again.

you can't jump on top of the platforms in stage four you have to jump straight up and let it hit you in the stomach and you'll get bounced on top instead of left or right to your death.

you just generally have to pace yourself and clear things as you go so you don't make mistakes.
