I just had a squirtle gain like 3 levels in a fight, and just cause he skipped over the level where he gets bubble....he didn't get it. wtf. I never knew this before but apparently you can miss moves if you gain more than one level at a time. you have to stop on the level the move is to get it. that is so stupid

You could do that in Gen 1 with a trade cable

Back in gen 1, the Ghost elemental attack Lick is supposed to be super effective vs Psychics. But due to a programming error, it inflicts zero damage (does nothing).

Also that one move that's supposed to increase your chances of a critical hit actually decreases it to practically 0.

And it's the only Ghost-type attack that doesn't do a set amount of damage. Plus the only Ghost-type pokemon in Gen 1 were half-Poison, so they were weak to Psychic-types.

Ghost pokemon were supposed to be the "Psychic-killers" but ended up being the exact opposite.

Well, more like reduces it to 1/4 instead of multiplying it by 4.

Because of this i had the wrong notion that ghosts were weak to physic and could never make heads from tails when checking weakness charts that said Ghost > Psychic, that caused me lots of problems when playing gold/silver...

Seems like every time I replay it, there's a new glitch I didn't know about before.

The newest one for me was realizing you can skip getting the Slyph Scope but just using a Poke Doll on the ghost Marowak. Lets you get to Fuschia City a lot sooner.

Another random glitch of note:

X Accuracies ensure 100% accuracy for all moves. Including OHKO moves.
