I feel bad for her, but I still think she was in the wrong here. I can understand how she could have felt hopeless after turning pretty much the entire industry against her. She probably thought her career was over. That combined with the bullying must have pushed her over the edge.

But you have to understand that the porn industry is going to have very liberal views by nature of the work itself. :v The entire business goes against social norms and values. Of course it is going to find an ally in the gay community and vice versa. So when she slighted the LGBT community with her remarks she naturally pissed a lot of people in the industry off.

If there were republican leaning porn studios maybe she could have found work there. :v But those don't exist for reasons that are obvious to everyone.

Just a terribly tragic situation all around. :/

Damn, I saw a VR video preview with her two nights ago, so when I saw the topic about her yesterday, I was gonna check her out last night.

I ended up going for that chick that looks similar to her instead. Now I find out she's gone. Really fucked up because she was one of my favs and also seemed like one of the more down to Earth pornstars. She was always classy in her scenes and seemed like she had a great personality, especially compared to other pornstars.

This is really fucked up.

I heard Lisa Ann on a podcast or radio show once say that you'd be surprised at the names and faces you'd see if you look up compilations of dead porn stars. Never had the stomach to try, lol.

Sex workers continue to be demonised and we are at least going to become more aware of when they kill themselves, even if the numbers aren't actually rising.

And should we really be shaming people for who they choose to have sex with? Maybe it is slightly bigoted if they won't sleep with X, but I don't think anyone should be made to sleep with someone if they don't want to, just to appease others.
