It could be poor consistency checking. It could be something technical like green not looking "right" on those particular renders. It could be the result of focus groups deeming blonde more preferable. Sometimes things get changed just because the current team prefer it that way. I always ended up choosing terra's alt in dissidia because it did have the green hair. but didn't help with the story portion of the game. also bugged me tidus's outfit was made an alt where as his default was a horribly done (imo) tweaked version of his original outfit. dissidia though, from what I could tell was trying to go more with the artwork for the characters over how they actually looked in game. bartz's hair color being one exception, but his outfit was indeed from his artwork, just recolored --- Cid- "looks like that overgrown lobster just got served!"
