Plug the controller into the second port

Hold the analog stick up

Start Game B

Press L, R, and Start

Get the fourth star and seventh star in Bomb-omb Battlefield, Whomp's Fortress, and Jolly Roger Bay.

Collect the red coins in Bowser's Dark World

Get the sixth star in Cool Cool Mountain

Collect the 8 red coins in the wing cap stage

Go back to Bowser's Dark World and collect 164 coins and defeat Bowser.

Get to the vanish cap stage.

Go to Jolly Roger Bay and get the 2nd star. Go back into the stage and punch the poison box exactly 64 times, and then ground pound it. You'll see a green cap and Mario will say "Luigi time!"

At this point, go to the hall of mirrors, ground pound the first pillar six times and then ground pound the pillar in front of the Goomba painting four times. Luigi will then appear in the mirror and all you have to do is punch him.

He's behind Bowser's Picture at the top of the castle

You have to get 1000 coins in the first Bowser fight by letting him spit fireballs. Then your life counter will turn to an M.

Then you go up to the top of the castle and jump kick the portrait and it will explode, and luigi will be inside.

He will give you the 121st star, and if you restart the game on that save file you will be able to select a new option that let's you play as Luigi.

He can jump higher than Mario but runs slower and is slippery.
